Located off the a5 on the outskirts of the city of Bangor,in a region of outstanding natural beauty. With mountains, lakes and forests of Snowdonia National Park, as well as Gwynedd's dramatic coastline on its doorstep. The Abbeyfield Hotel is a homely and personal hotel with restaurant, situated in the old village of Talybont, lying 2 miles to the East of the city of Bangor in Gwynedd, within walking distance of the National Trust property, Penrhyn Castle. Abbeyfield Hotel is an ideal base to explore the beautiful and varied North Wales area. In its several centuries of existence, it has been a Coaching Inn, a Farmhouse and since 1968, a privately owned Hotel offering a high standard of comfort and friendly hospitality. The grounds, afford an ample parking area and lawned area in which guests are welcome to relax. It is regretted that in fairness to other guests no pets can be allowed in the Hotel.It should also be noted that the hotel is close to a railway line.
