Comfort : Hotel Bayerischer Hof is located directly on the lake promenade of the island, opposite the railway station, near the harbour with its Old Lighthouse and within walking distance of the town centre. At the end of the outer breakwaters are Lindau's best known landmarks, the 6 metres high Bavarian Lion, made of Kelheim marble, and the 33 metres high New Lighthouse. Lindau is more and more developing into an important international congress site. It is also the annual meeting place for Nobel laureates.
